In 1824, Balbino officially registered his hallmark, characterized by the imprint of a lion with the initials C.B. within an oval cartouche, reserved for the highest quality silver.

A recognized master and supplier to the Royal House of Savoy, Carlo Balbino is considered among the most important Piedmontese silversmiths of the nineteenth century.
